Nearest thousands - 4,897,542. 854 is between 4,897,543 and 4,897,544, since I’m rounding to the nearest thousands I must decide if I want to round up or down, I have to look for the thousands place which is 7, I replace 5,4 and 2 before 7 as a 0. Because 5 is equal to 5 I have to round up, so then the answer is 4,898,000.

2. Nearest tenths - 4,897,542. 854 is between 4,897,542.855 and 4,897542.856, I look where the number after the decimal point which is 8. I must decide if I will round up or down, I have to replace 5 and 4 into a 0, since 5 is equal to 5 I have to round up. Then the answer is 4,897,542.900
